NOVEMBER 14, 2025: Auditorium Theatre

In collaboration with the Auditorium Theatre the Ensemble Español presents Tales of Spain educational concert. An inspiring musical experience for school and high school students. We invite teachers and principals to bring their students to enjoy a live performance that blends music, culture, and learning.

When? Friday, November 14 at 11:00 AM

Where? Auditorium Theatre

50 East Ida B. Wells Drive, Chicago

Hector Uriostegui: h-uriostegui@neiu.edu

This full-length concert and lecture features 8 – 18 professional dancers, who lead young audiences through the variety of Spanish dance styles, and their historical significance on traditional and contemporary culture.

In this hour-long presentation, audiences learn how Spanish dance is influenced by the ancient Celtic peoples, Moorish sensibilities, and the lives and passions of the Gitanos.

Consequently, students, parents and teachers receive an in-depth survey of Spain’s special place in dance art forms.
